French Polynesia – Tahiti and Moorea (plans)

Our plans for FP trip:

June 18 /Tuesday – fly to Papeete , Tahiti..arrive late go to Tahiti Nui  hotel and have dinner at the hotel

June 19 /Wed
from Tahiti Nui Hotel:
breakfast at Pastry De Marquesan on our way to Papeete Market – to buy pareos/  sarongs and fresh fruits..back to hotel to get the luggage and go to the ferry..getting to Moorea..get our Dacia :)..stop at Super U to get water and some groceries..go to our villa
lunch or early dinner at Lilikoy Garden Cafe or Carameline on our way

June 20 /Thursday
Morning: beach at Les Tipaniers ..lunch at their restaurant or Snack Mahana
Afternoon: exploring Tiki Village to see events/classes and decide if going to the Polynesian show. Maybe stop at Hibiscus Hotel to check the beach and where Captain Taina boat leaves
Dinner at Painapo Beach Restaurant

June 21/Friday
Morning: driving to Belvedere Lookout with stop at Lycee Agricole (best jams and juices) and at Marae Titiroa. If not too hot, hike to Tree Coconuts ..better view ..hike is 1 and half hours up and 1 hour down…not that easy
Pineapple Route: hike on the road (can not drive a regular car) to see the plantations
Afternoon: beach Les Tipaniers..

June 22/Saturday
Morning 9:30-12:30 am : Captain Taina boat tour to Motu Tiahura
lunch: hotel Hibicus
Afternoon: Ta’ahiamanu Beach local beach
Evening around 8:00pm: Polynesian show at Intercontinental – have a drink at the bar
or:visit Intercontinental gardens , Dolphin Center and Turtle Center and have a drink at the bar

June 23/Sunday
10am mass at Saint Joseph Catholic Church _ Pao-Pao village..beautiful songs and costumes
beach Les Tipaniers
lunch at CocoBeach..reservations!
afternoon: explore Atika Bay – non-touristic
eat: Pizza Daniel Mano(pizza to go) or Panapo Beach Restaurant/Panapo Beach = luau PK 33 huge tiki statue

June 24/Monday – day trip – long drive around the island
Manutea Juice Factory 8:30-4:30pm closed Sunday
Temae Beach (1/2 hour drive – bring some lunch) stop at Toatea Lookout
Tropical Garden-Vanilla Farm 8am-6pm
Maybe: Evening around 8:00pm: Polynesian show at Intercontinental – have a drink at the bar

June 25/Tuesday
Maybe: Lagoonarium (leave early 8am) Afareaitu Pk 8.5, Motu Ahi
picnic there
or Magic Mountain hike (1/2 hour hike)  around PK21 in Opunohu Bay narrow cement road – pay XPF200/person to the last house and hike up the road
evening/maybe: show at Tiki Village 9:00 pm

June 26/Wed
beach: les Tipaniers
our anniversary cruise: Sunset cruise on the Taboo catamaran
maybe dinner at Le Lezard Jaune Cafe

June 27/Thursday
whatever we loved and want to do again

June 28/Friday
return to Papeete to hotel Tahiti Nui
walk to Heive Rima’i – artisan fair at Parc expo de Mama’o (Papeete) – 9:5:30pm and maybe Musee de la Perle (9-5:00pm)

June 29/Saturday
early morning flight with FrenchBee back home!
